Pre-Training
At Vicarage Farm each horse in our care is treated as an individual with their introduction tailored around their temperament & the requirements. The Team believe that when being long reined, it is important for each horse to see all of the facilities and allow them to become familiar & assured in their surroundings. Gaining confidence & understanding - because confidence is key - before introducing a rider ensures all horses, once riding, are professional and ready to move on to their next chapter.
Spelling & Rehabilitation
With our ongoing improvements we can accommodate every individuals need, from box rest, nursery paddock or large turnout, to walker or lunge exercise. Our well maintained, quality pasture provides a tranquil environment for each horse to relax, mature & improve before resuming exercise. We work closely with NEH, Rossdales & Baker McVeigh as well as expert farriers to provide the best best individual care and attention focussed on each horses injury & rehabilitation requirements.
Sales
Preparation
With outstanding care, correct nutrition & exercise we ensure all horses destined for the sales ring are prepared to the highest standard, thus allowing them to show their full potential. This is something our team excels in due to our past working background and experiences. Megan heads up our Sales Preparation and consignment team.
Broodmares
We provide our boarding mares with immaculately maintained, high quality pasture. Our stud vet is on site daily during the breeding season to ensure each mare is see as and when required. Every effort, is made to ensure the mares in our care receive the best treatment to make their time with us peaceful and carefree as possible.
